Gonna Get Me a Motorhome and Travel Across the US

I've been to the States many times before, but I've never driven across it. And that's what I intend to do on my next trip - in a motorhome! I'll be looking at motorhomes for sale after I land at JFK, then begin my trip. I have no real itiniary. I will be certainly checking the weather ahead of me, because I do know the central part of the States is susceptible to tornadoes. I hope to go through some "checkpoints" a long the way: Memphis, Wichita, Las Vegas, down to Roswell(!), and across and up to San Francisco. I have no deadline to hit the west coast - it'll take as long as it takes. It might take 3 months, it might take a year - in fact, the longer the better - it will mean I'm enjoying myself if it's going to take that long to do.
