Updating installations is a very important step to take when using macbook to upload applications. These installations are meant to help speed up the time it takes for an application to be uploaded. If you are asking yourself, why is my macbook so slow? Try and see if your snow leopard has been updated. Have your run disk utility to be sure that your disk does not have any errors because these could be the main causes as to why you are having slow applications which are making you delay in performing your tasks while working n your computer. If all these things have been put in shape, look at the spotlight indexing, if it is not blinking know that your fresh installation has not been complete in the computer, the spotlight indexing your hard disk has to blink in order for you to be sure that you have successfully installed your programs. When you are using word, you will definitely suffer from the slow applications, so try using another alternative instead and see if this improves the speed.
